A dear friend of ours had a birthday yesterday so bisqwits had to be made!
Now Mr Bubba Long Shanks is a bit of a handy man so the only thing to do was make him his own tool set!
I picked up some tool cookie cutters years ago but I've never used them. There was a digger in the set but icing a digger seemed a bit too advanced for me.
So in the toolbox there's some hammers, spanners, hard hats, saws and even some drills.
Mr Lardshow and I were trying to work out how to package the bisqwits up and it dawned on us that we could pop them in a real toolbox! Two presents in one!
I'm really pleased with how they turned out, especially the writing. Proper joined up letters!
Now who's birthday is it next?

A kitchen covered in flour
Hello all my loverducks,
Just a quick post. Today is a new day. Start of a new life. That's what Mr Lardshow told me this morning. Yesterday was hopefully the last of the scary days and to celebrate and give me something to do to keep me from crying we made pasta again.
It was much more successful this time! Hurrah!
Fresh homemade pasta literally takes seconds to cook and tastes amazing. Suddenly your supper becomes about the pasta and not the sauce. I can't wait to make it again. Hopefully next time I won't cover the kitchen, the cats and me in flour nor will I drop half the tagliatelli in the cat food! Darn my clumsy hands.
Enjoy the pics.

Escape to the country
Hey lovelies,
My infection seems to have finally left the building (or rather body!) Hip Hop Hooray!
There's lots of scary, stressful things happening this week so we decided to escape this weekend and just be.
We pitched our little tent of blueness in a tiny campsite behind a pub in Shropshire. Can you see the beautiful showman's caravan behind the tent? There were a handful caravans and us, the brave ones in a tent. Bliss.
Our first night we decided to have tea in the pub as we were hungry and tired from the journey and all that tent pegging. After being repeatedly told by the landlord that we'd been there before (we hadn't) he finally agreed to let us have some food...I had chips...they don't serve vegetarians unless they've had prior warning! Brilliant!
The sky was just so clear on our first night, it was impossible to even begin to try to count the stars. So bright and beautiful.
I have to admit I was cold the first night (two hot water bottles and a northerner was clearly not enough) but there isn't a better feeling in the world than waking up under the trees with your loved one on a slightly squishy airbed.
Here's to a lifetime of camping with my Mr Lardshow hopefully in our very own campervan.

Pasta Pronto
Hello all,
I feel like I've been away from here for a very long time. My body hasn't been cooperating recently and I just haven't had the motivation or anything to write about so I've kept away. There's lots going on at the moment and I'm trying to keep going with a smile on my face. It's been difficult though.
The lovely Mr Lardshow came home from work with a lovely present for me the other day to try and get me blogging and cooking again. We've been joking about having a go at making our own pasta. We've got pizza mastered so we thought pasta was the next step! So I unpacked my present of a shiny pasta maker and we had a go.
The infection that I've been battling has exhausted me and trying to make the pasta nearly killed me but I did it and we covered the kitchen in flour while rolling it out and turning it into spaghetti. I think we over cooked it but it was definitely pasta! Magnifico!
So a beautiful thank you to Mr Lardshow for knowing how to get me blogging again. xBx
